Turkey Refutes Claims of Being Excluded from EU Horizon Europe Program

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry clarified on Wednesday that claims suggesting the country has been left out of the EU’s Horizon Europe initiative are not correct, emphasizing that the program’s proceedings are still in progress.

According to ministry sources, discussions regarding the EU’s regulatory draft for the 2028-2034 cycle are ongoing within both the European Parliament and the EU Council.

The officials highlighted that certain proposals circulating in the European Parliament pertain only to specific sections of the program and do not affect Türkiye’s overall eligibility.

They added that the ultimate decision will be shaped through negotiations among EU institutions, noting that Türkiye is actively taking the necessary measures while keeping a close watch on developments.
